Staten Island Chinese Christian Church (SICCC) is an independent, non-denominational, Bible-based church located in Staten Island, New York. Established in 1975, our church offers three, separate worship services in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, with a combined membership of around three hundred. Position Summary:

The Youth Pastor will provide overall vision and direction of the ministry, lead and disciple the youth (middle and high school) in their spiritual journey, help them grow in their relationship with Christ to enable them to embrace their identity in a multicultural context and live out their faith. The role involves preaching, teaching, mentoring, and organizing programs that engage and empower young people.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spiritual Leadership:

○ Provide Bible-based teaching and guidance to youth during weekly Sunday services and Sunday School.

○ Shepherd youth through discipleship, Bible studies, worship, and prayer.

2. Youth Programs & Events:

○ Plan and lead weekly fellowship gatherings, retreats, mission trips, and service projects.

3. Mentoring & Counseling:

○ Build strong, trusting relationships with youth through discipleship.

○ Offer pastoral care and counseling to youth dealing with personal, spiritual, and/or cultural challenges.

○ Create and manage discipleship program that align with the church's mission - equipping the youth to deepen their faith and engage in ministry.

○ Lead by example, equip and disciple the youth to carry out the Great Commission.

4. Collaboration:

○ Work closely with parents and church leadership to support the spiritual growth of the youth.

○ Collaborate with other ministries to integrate the youth into the larger church community.

5. Administrative Duties:

○ Oversee the youth ministry budget and ensure proper use of resources.

○ Maintain open communication with church leadership and provide regular updates on the youth ministry progress, along with updates to families.

○ Attend monthly board & pastoral meetings.

Qualifications:

● A deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through spiritual maturity.

● Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or related field (Master’s preferred).

● Experience working with youths in a church or ministry setting.

● Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

● A heart for serving young people, and passion for evangelism; addressing their unique cultural and spiritual needs.

● Proficiency with technology and communication tools preferred.

Working Conditions:

● Full-time

● Evening and weekend availability required for youth activities and events.

Salary:

● $50,000-$60,000 with benefits. Final offer depending on experience.
