Y.S. Yee - Christ Has Forgiven My Sins

Growing up I was not exposed to Christianity very much, as my family did not attend church services.

It wasn’t until much later when my wife, NaNa, brought me to SICCC and we began attending services there.  Although the members of SICCC were warm and welcoming I didn’t know exactly how and where I fit in at church.  I continued to attend services but not on a regular basis.

On April 25, 2019 I was visiting Dr. Hsien Kwang Liu for a routine checkup.  Dr. Liu was also a SICCC Elder and our family physician for many years.  He asked if I wanted to accept Jesus Christ into my heart and to be my savior.  I was ready and accepted his offer.  Then Dr. Liu led me for a prayer to accept Christ, I confessed my sins and invited Jesus into my heart to be my Savior and Lord.

Lord Jesus commanded us to believe and be baptized.  It is not an option.  I’m not sure why it’s taken me this long to get here.  At times I feel as if I am not a good enough Christian to be baptized.  I remind myself that if God did not want me at this stage in my life, I would not be taking this important but wonderful step of bringing my inward reality into the real world.  I believe that Christ died for me and has forgiven my sins and I’m ready to take this step in publicly declaring my faith.  It is important for me to get baptized, to consolidate my faith and personal relationship with God.
